I got the issue when update to v1.6.18. I temporary fixed it :

1. Completely disable and remove the plugin
2. Download, upload and install the v1.6.17 release
3. Activate and don't update
4. Purge cache if you have a cache plugin

I'll be monitoring this, so hope there is a solution on the next release.

A lot of the changes in the latest version look like they have to do with escaping output. In file inc/class-header-footer-elementor.php it looks like wp_kses_post() is being used to filter content and may possibly be removing <script> or <style> tags.

I used https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rollback/ to roll back our affected sites, going to version 1.6.17 and did not have any loss of content. I would recommend backing up your database first prior to rolling back, though.
