I too am having issues changing the volume. If I console.log the volume it prints out 13 regardless of what I do.

My issue was android not ios. Android is not setting volume. Ios is working correctly.

I too, can get it to work in the ios simulator, but not on the ios device.

I know this is very old, but has there been any change with regard to capturing the events from the player? Especially the mute button click.
