"Et al." formatting

I have tried to write a new citation format (*.tpl) file which uses the primaryCreatorListMore, primaryCreatorListLimit and primaryCreatorListAbbreviation properties to limit the number of authors and use "et al.". It seems that this is not currently supported by Papercite; is this right?
