Firefox Android support
Hello,
gtranslate is in the list of addons for Firefox Android. But how do the right click on a touch screen after selecting the text ?
Thanks.
Hello, it shouldn’t be in the list, could you give me the URL?
Here you are : https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/android/search/?q=gtranslate&appver=&platform=
And I was able to install it on my tablet without difficulty.
Indeed! Thanks for that, I removed the Android platform.
It’s probably added automatically when you submit an addon now, and I didn’t pay attention.
About the Android support: I don’t have any Android to try things, but it could be interesting to think about it.
Thank you for answering, I'll try to find another solution. But I am used to GTranslate on my desktop and it would be useful also on the tablet.
Have a good day.
Hi @StephanieLabaule
It's useless to add it for Firefox since Android has this feature included as native. If you install Google Translate, which seems obvious if you would like to translate things, just select text and select translate from menu. You get the translation and you could open the Translate app from the pop-up for more details.
Hello PerfectSlayer,
Which version of Android ? Can you explain how you make a translation of a text in Firefox with Google Translate ? Apart from copying and pasting from Firefox to Google Translate, I do not see.
@StephanieLabaule It's available since Android 6 (aka Marshmallow). Just select the text with a long press and the translate option should appear.
Unfortunately, I am not one of the lucky ones who benefit from Marshmallow, I'm still KitKat.
