Audio issues when streaming

Open ChocoMenta opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Hello! I am having issues with the audio when streaming on Twitch. It happens from time to time that a certain audio (it can be the game audio, music audio or navigator audio as far as I know) starts sounding "bugged" or with interference, I do not really know how to describe it so I attached a Twitch clip.

PS: the audio of the mic does not have issues btw. PS2: I have tried streaming without the separated audio and it sounds fine, this is why I think it has something to do with the plugin. I have also watched other friends streaming and have the same problem. (using the plugin)

Hello! I wasn't able to find a solution with the setup I had, so I decided to upgrade the graphic card, which was a gtx 1650, now I have a rtx4060 and I don't have that problem anymore. I guess it had something to do with the graphic card.

I have been encountering this problem for about 2 years! It doesn't seem to have anything to do with CPU or GPU load, and sounds more like some kind of audio buffer overflow (similar to what stuttering sounds like in ASIO4ALL when I set the buffer too small). Perhaps it has to do with my sample rate in Windows (24 bit, 48000 Hz) or the fact that I have a lot of additional audio drivers (Oculus Virtual Audio Device, Steam Streaming Speakers, etc.) I have generally encountered this error in both Windows 10 and Windows 11 and in previous versions of OBS and this plug-in. It is very bothersome because I often lose recorded material due to this because an audio fragment of about a minute is unrecoverable by this. If it helps I can provide logs from OBS or others if needed.

It's a Windows bug, there's nothing I can do. Apparently they know so keep your Windows updated and hope it goes away I guess.

@bozbez are you still maintaining the plugin or is it abandoned?
