How to capture separate audio stream from game?

Open WubTheGame opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

What I mean is, in Call of Duty, voice chat is separated from game audio. I can't capture the voice chat audio because it seems not tied to an executable but you have to configure it ingame to go to a specific output channel. I also have voicemeeter (banana) in case it helps, so how can I capture COD VC with this plugin?

Best I can do is use a different scene collection to capture desktop/headphones audio. I really don't understand why any game should output any kind of audio to a separate piece of hardware than the rest, but okay. It's unfortunate this plugin isn't being maintained since I strongly prefer it over OBS' official implementation for this, as that only works for a single window per source. But the plugin still works as well as ever for me, so good enough. I'll leave this as thanks to Bozbez if he ever comes upon it.
