Use $EDITOR to edit a message

Would you be interested in having the feature whereby some key command (say ctrl+E as in qutebrowser) opens the currently written message in $EDITOR, allowing for easier editing of longer messages? I could probably implement and MR this if it is a desirable feature.

For longer messages, especially those containing markdown or some code snippets, this is a quite useful feature. Ctrl+E is already bound to Message Editing, so a different shortcut is needed for opening the editor.

This would be truly fantastic. Possibly a $PAGER view for messages too.
