[Bug]: Game won't launch after some time, even in terminal for debugging purposes

Open ruzko opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

Describe the bug

Hi folks

Feel free to close this if you'd like but I think this bug might be due to bottles.

I've got Cyberpunk 2077 running (poorly) in the flatpak version of bottles. However, it seems to stop working altogether after being run a few times in a fresh bottle. Doesn't matter which runner I use, or which options I change, the game won't launch. After it becomes unlaunchable, I need to start it with a fresh bottle. This is inconvenient, because my save data also needs to be migrated to the new bottle. In some cases, it even becomes impossible to try to launch the game in bottles terminal.

The errors I get are like this:

Cyberpunk2077_dxgi.log CrashReporter_dxgi.log CrashReporter_d3d9.log backtrace_cyberpunk_wineGE-34_2.txt backtrace_cyberpunk_wineGE-34.txt

To Reproduce

  1. run cyberpunk 2077 in a bottle regardless of configuration
  2. quit the game
  3. unable to relaunch

Sometimes the game can be relaunched a few times before the error occurs.

Package

Flatpak from Flathub

Distribution

Fedora 37 Kinoite
