Switching runner inside bottle never switches

Bottles 2022.10.14.1 Flatpak 1.12.2

When switching to a different runner, any runner that's available, the spinning icon spins for at least 20 minutes without ever finishing the switch. While it's switching I can't go back to my other bottles so after 20 minutes I just closed Bottles. Opening Bottles again later I find that the runner is still the original runner.
