[Bug]: Bottles not seeing LTSpice lnk files.

Open diminDDL opened this issue 1 year ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug

I have successfully installed LTSpice and it is working perfectly, however I can't seem to find a way to force bottles (51.0 from flatpack) to find the lnk files and show it in the UI. I have looked at both #192 and #1044. Both of them are closed, but none of the solutions seem to do anything in my case. I am unsure if I can somehow force bottles to re scan for lnk files after I copied the links into the expected locations or something like that, because I did copy them over as instructed in #192 but still nothing happened.

To Reproduce

  1. Go to https://www.analog.com/en/design-center/design-tools-and-calculators/ltspice-simulator.html and download the latest MSI
  2. Create a bottle
  3. Run the MSI inside
  4. Nothing shows up in the library post install

Guys I think I found an answer, in my case was a different software but maybe it will apply to yours. During the wizard installation the software was installing in drive "z:", I change it to "c:"

After that I could force bottles to add a shortcut and also to make a desktop icon
