Cyrillic input not working
I don’t know how to enter Cyrillic in games / programs, everything is displayed fine after I put Russian in the compability settings, but I don’t understand how to enter.
Bottles is installed from Flathub. Distribution: Fedora SilverBlue (Wayland) The language in the system is English (but I don’t know if this plays a role, because I also switched to Russian)
You'd just switch the keyboard layout to Russian, like with any other app. Cyrillic doesn't need an IME, so it should just work.
Hi, for me it also doesn't work. I'm trying to launch World of Warcraft 3.3.5a (for Sirus private server). In the Game all cyrillic text is displayed correctly, but I'm not able to type it into the chat (and all other places), letters just don't appear.
Language switching works correctly, because I'm able to switch to us layout and type latin letters
Also, cyrillic input works if I launch game executable with wine env LC_ALL=ru_RU.UTF-8 wine run.exe
What I've already tried:
- Launch Bottles with LC_ALL
- Set bottle environment variable LC_ALL=ru_RU.UTF-8
- Regenerate Linux locales and reboot PC
Am I missing anything else?
==== Linux Mint 21.1 Cinnamon Bottles 51.5 (flatpack) My Linux locale is en_US.UTF-8 wine-6.0.3 (Ubuntu 6.0.3~repack-1)

Same problem. I use flatpak bottles on arch.
Yep. Same issue even with workarounds
