Crash Report
The app crashed for me (Fairphone 2, Android 5.1) - if I remember correctly, I did a refresh on the Podcast station list (Abonnements) before it crashed.
The debug log is available at: https://gist.github.com/f488546e816c424494771355f7862557
@github-user-1 I'm sorry but I think I need to close this one. I don't know what the problem is. Hopefully someone else run into the same problem. If it happens to you again, please reopen this issue
The app just crashed once again - it was when I was just opening it, but unfortunately, I can't reproduce it right now.
The debug-log is uploaded here: https://gist.github.com/7414a73a2d48ea1c3271056ac2617dae
@github-user-1 I will do some more investigation of the issue then
Just in case this is interesting - I tried on another phone (Samsung Galaxy, Android 6; not mine, but I can check there as well) and also got a crash after importing the opml file.
The log is available at: https://gist.github.com/anonymous/b0568975c339b9f42ac554f6414c890a (I see some out-of-memory alerts, but I'm no expert on reading these logs properly).
Anyhow - great app, looks very nice and I think I really will like it (just needs a bit more stability ;-) ). Keep the great work!
@github-user-1 Could you provide me with the OPML file you imported?
From the last report I think your OPML file includes one (or more) feeds which contains some invalid data for each episode. If the feed also contains a lot of episodes this will spawn a lot of internal crash reports which seems to make the system run out of memory.
I'm not sure this relates to your previous issue, but it could be.
Here's the ompl-file (an export from the DoggCatcher app); renamed to podcasts.opml.txt
only here so github does include it properly:
Just tried the latest version (0.150.370-free-release from F-Droid) and experienced the same crash again. I have a bit more than a dozen podcast streams subscribed. When I select to update all podcasts subscriptions on the subscriptions tab and also try to scroll it crashes silently. The scrolling up and down is extremely slow and jerky. My impression is that this updating is not in a separate, independent thread but rather the main thread and therefore blocking the user interface - but that's just my thinking (no prove).
@github-user-1 Thanks. Unfortunately I'm living without internet for the next week or so. However, I will get back to the app ASAP
