Using with yarn

I think this might be impossible, but I thought it worth chucking out there.. is there anyway this concept could be used with Yarn?

I think it's impossible because there's no way to install a package via Yarn without it adding it into your package.json deps (similar to #2 after npm started saving as default).

But in the hopes someone smarter than me might have a workaround....... :)
