Alternate keyboard layouts

I would very much like to build something like this.

My current travel keyboard is an open-source hardware project, the Atreus: https://atreus.technomancy.us/

A big advantage of the atreus layout is that it's already a split, minimal format. I find the angled, ortholinear arrangement to be very comfortable for in-lap use, and other cramped circumstances.

It seems to me that it wouldn't be terribly difficult to combine big parts of both of these projects, though I'll have to look at it a little more closely to determine if I'd want to go about trying to do it.

Would you be interested in work to integrate the atreus keyboard layout?

Awesome! I've been wanting to build an Atreus for a while :) I agree that the layout would be a great fit for something like this (you could reduce the width too, which wouldn't hurt). Plus more comfortable due to the angle. Are you thinking the classic? or the 62 key layout [1]?

Anyway, sure I'd be interested! The problem will be...how exactly to integrate them. The most obvious way is to edit or regenerate the DXF of the top plate that actually holds the switches, then when someone goes to fabricate it they can choose which to make. Though that doesn't allow for larger changes to the chassis (like overall width). What do you think?
