FR: The list of "Allowed Networks" should be refreshed automatically or be manually editable
The problem
I have deleted many old unused networks under Fedora from my list of known networks. In Vorta, these networks still appear under "Allowed networks". I can remove the check mark, but the entries remain.
Requested Solution
The list of "Allowed Networks" should be refreshed automatically or be manually editable.
The list of "Allowed Networks" should be refreshed automatically
What do you mean by that?
That's not really possible due to permissions. I believe Vorta can only see the current network and not the full list.

@m3nu Currently Vorta shows me a list of networks I have connected to in the past - since installing Vorta on my system? And I have removed most of these connections from my network manager. Networks from my current environment - for example, the ones that are surrounding me right now as I comment on this issue - are not shown to me in the tab. This probably has to do with the permissions you write about, right?

@real-yfprojects Have a look at Schedule -> Networks -> Allowed networks. I would like to be able to decide as a user which networks are displayed on this list. Ideally, I imagine that there is a synchronisation with the list that the network manager of my DE (in this case Fedora with GNOME) offers me. In the options of the Wi-Fi tab of GNOME Settings, there is "Known Wi-Fi Networks". I maintain this list regularly and would in my perception therefore be a useful basis for the list that Vorta suggests to me as "Allowed Networks". I don't know if it would be useful at this point to allow a way in the Vorta interface to add additional connections that are not already listed as known Wi-Fi Networks in the GNOME preferences.
I had a look and vorta does retrieve the complete list of networks configured in NetworkManager. However it only adds them to the internal list and doesn't delete any networks no longer present in the list of the system. In contrast on MacOS this is not possible. Only the current network can be retrieved. Consequently we should add the possibility to remove a network from the list. My question is, should vorta automatically remove networks on linux that are no longer configured in the network manager?
I think having a context menu for all network entries and an option there to remove them, for both Linux and MacOS is a good option. Currently, for developement, I removed the wi-fi entries by writing PSQL queries in code, so this is important for me too. Automatic purging might be unexpected for some users.
May I also suggest adding a select all / deselect all button for the list of networks? Or should I start a new issue for that?
