only one level of nesting in lists, second level nesting collapses to first level

Making a list:

  • This list item works,
    • as this one, which has been indented two spaces,
      • but indenting two more spaces will not be nested beyond the previous item's nesting.

I just noticed it works fine if I further indent all list items two more spaces.

(not sure if that closes the issue -- don't know if this is really a variation on basic markdown syntax or not  )

This seems to be yet another weird behaviour of the markdown2 library. You may file a bug at https://github.com/trentm/python-markdown2/issues and see if they know how to fix this.
