Open Existing .enmd File

Open LopezNathan opened this issue 8 years ago • 3 comments

My current workflow is using markdown raw files as notes syncing with Dropbox, allowing me to open the files on any device.

With that said, is there anyway to open an existing local '.enmd' file and have it associated with an Evernote note? That way I can prevent having to 'Send to Evernote as a new note' making duplicates of my existing notes?

I actually found two other issues where this has been discussed, but it doesn't appear any progress has been made on implementing these features: https://github.com/bordaigorl/sublime-evernote/issues/1 & https://github.com/bordaigorl/sublime-evernote/issues/17

Is there any update on when we could possibly see these additions?

I think it would be great to support this workflow, but getting it right is tricky because of synchronisation and how the Evernote API is structured. At the moment I do not have time to devote to adding features, I'm in "maintainance mode", also given that donations are not coming in and I cannot justify spending too much time on the plugin. Hopefully things will change in the future. It would be great if others could contribute code, I would certainly be able to help and review the PR.

Definitely understand. Either way, I appreciate all your work on this, it's a great tool. I will definitely review the code and see where I can contribute.
