Detect accented letter

I am trying to use add_abbreviation to add words with àìùòé letters but not work. Probably because to write them I use alt gr+ù as example, so I am not sure about what is the best way to do that. Also with add_hotkey that parameter p,i,alt gr+ù is not detect for the word più. In any case this library is amazing with add_abbrevation is possible to do a grammar fixer very easily but not reconize this cases.

I did a bug bounty for this https://www.bountysource.com/issues/60404549-detect-accented-letter it is not so much but maybe can invite someone to work on that.

Maybe also add this project to hacktoberfest https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com/ can be an idea.
