Formatting of emails (no line breaks)

Hello!

We have a site using BuddyBoss plugin/theme and we also use BuddyPress Group Email Subscription.

When a user posts a topic on a Group, with let's say a few paragraphs of text, some words in bold font, and some URLs > then it all become one cobbled together paragraph with 1) no line breaks, and 2) URLs appending to the next characters rendering the URLs unusable (they become broken links).

Here's an example image of a Group post, and the resulting email received.

Is there a solution for this with some special code in functions.php? Is there a planned solution for this issue in a future version of the plugin?

BPGES strips HTML tags from activity content. You can override this behavior for certain activity types using the technique described here: https://github.com/boonebgorges/buddypress-group-email-subscription/issues/189

Thanks, I used that technique but had no effect on the formatting: it remains without line breaks.

BuddyBoss is not 100% sure whether the issue is with BGES or BuddyBoss plugin itself. They are fixing a formatting issue in their forum emails which could potentially solve this issue.
