Email Updates for Doc Creator

I love the new feature on BP Docs that allows editors to opt-out of sending a notification email to everyone in a group that a document has been edited (not sure if this is in the general distribution package of the plugin or just on the Commons). It's working very well and I think it's an important feature. However, one thing I've been thinking about is that as a document creator, I would love to have an option to receive notifications of all changes to the document whether or not an editor considers his or her edits to be too minor to send out an email notification. I'd say that the editor should be automatically notified of all updates regardless of whether editors opt-out of the group notification, perhaps with an option to opt-out of auto-updates if desired.
