I can drag and drop files once the window is open though.
I'm pretty sure that I found this because It was getting stuck there. Unfortunately I don't remember what the conditions were for triggering the loop.
I've tested printing the same sequence of characters inside and outside of neovim. The results with a double width character inside vim is an extra space after the actual character...
Notice that this has nothing to do with the cursor. There's no cursors on the screen shot. Both screen shots were using iterm2 on a mac.
