Will Chrome soon disable Save Text to File?

Save Text to File's chrome extension page now says

This extension may soon no longer be supported because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions.

I guess this is due to Manifest v3.

Is Save Text to File doomed on Chrome? Or will it not be too hard to make it compatible with Manifest v3?

I don't see how simply saving text could be dangerous -- is it the external Python module that's causing the problem? If it could work only without that module, it would still be much better than nothing. :)

Save Text to File is working perfectly on Chrome,
it can append to file, and save more than ~16kB at once.

I use it in Firefox too, but there the ~16kB save limit persists even after disabling the Python module. (Firefox 130 on Manjaro.)
