How do I view Pinboard bookmarks?
It's really nice to be able to save bookmarks to Pinboard all the time; but is there a way to view the bookmarks conveniently?
Snarky answer: http://pinboard.in. :smirk:
However, I suppose that you could save to both local locations and online. Is local in firefox convenient? Or are you asking about some command-line penta-like interface?
Sorry jumping in here, but I'd like to second this: it would be great to have a way to e.g. autocomplete bookmarks on pinboard, which is possible with local bookmarks. I suppose this might not be trivial to implement.
So the intent would be to have an interface similar to the local bookmarks, but that queries the pinboard data? Is that right?
Actually having started using pintaboard, I'm not sure anymore that this is necessary. I just continue using :bmark to save local bookmarks, which works fine. It would be nice to be able to search/autocomplete bookmarks on pinboard directly from pentadactyl, but I don't even see that functionality in the API so there would not be any easy way to enable it (AFAICT).
So I don't need this myself.
Thanks for a great plugin btw!
HI, I started using this plugin recently and I like it, but I still miss this great feature. The idea is to have a completion source integrated to pentadactyl so that something like set complete=pintaboard,...
would make the URL stored in pinboard to appear as completion candidates with the commands :open
and :tabopen
. It would be super great if we could filter/match the candidates typing parts of the tags (and not just the URL).
Hope you will think about implementing this feature.
Amazing idea, I'll be happy if someone takes care of it's implementation. My skills are not enough for this at the moment.
I'll take a look and see what I can add in for this functionality. I'll have to consider the performance carefully.
