Adds a basic index.d.ts for Typescript users. (auto generated by TS)
Oh my god! A year later, my Typescript skills are finally well enough that I was bothered to come back to this (it came up as a recommended repo). There are now proper types in that index.d.ts instead of that garbage that was there before!
todo update package json's @types field to reflect newly created index.d.ts
