Compatibality issue with Esp32 latest version 3.1.0 (Arduino ide)

Downgrade the esp32 version to 2.0.15 to run this library seamlessly

Is this still a sudo fix. Downgrade is no longer an option as it was changed so long ago. If so, should I create a fork supporting the new version

Support of this library is low. Nice if some one take care.
If you make the port for ESP32 version 3.x.y, have a look at some issues I raised for ESP32 #39 , #40
