No way to jump to org nodes with subnodes?

I would be happy to be corrected, but currently there seems to be no way to jump to org mode nodes with subnodes, via the most intuitive operations: clicking/RET/SPC on the +node items in a menu-list buffer.

By +node, I meant the imenu-list items which by default have a + sign prepended if the associated org node contains subnodes. Clicking/RET/SPC on a +node toggles the hide/show of the subnodes in imenu-list, but does allow users to jump to the corresponding +node in the org buffer.

I would appreciate any imenu-list methods/hacks to allow me to jump to a +node in the associated org buffer. And if this feature indeed does not exist yet, I would vote for it to happen in a future update.
