how to do I get permission to setup a branch?

git push --set-upstream origin carets ERROR: Permission to bmag/imenu-list.git denied to benleis1. fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

I'd like to contribute a PR to use unicode carets rather than the plus sign for display

Hi @benleis1 , just fork the project and create an MR from the fork. Would be very interested in this.
