no input from gamepad

Switch layout controllers (tested on 8bitdo ultimate bluetooth and nintendo switch controller) are not getting any input until the bluetooth service is manually restarted (on modified fedora silverblue image - bazzite) or doesn't get any input at all, no matter what - fedora 40. I'm not sure what logs to include here but I will happily share any.

I'm using 5.75
