idea: Show the current fps of the camera
display the current fps of the camera on a widget or embedded in the frame with ping.
I see this as predominantly a debug helper when things are going wrong, so I think it should be a toggle-able display option for the Video and Image Viewer widgets, which is tied to the source of whatever is being shown on the widget.
If we think people would want to see it during normal operation then we could also make a mini-widget for it that allows choosing a video source to track the frame-rate of, but that seems like it would be annoying to implement, and could result in someone misleading themselves by not realising their FPS indicator is for a different video source to the actual video stream they're viewing (if more than one is available).
