Hi, Would you be open to add support for the Intel PCIe IP cores? If so, I might be able to contribute that. Do you have any idea of how...
Sketch down ideas on how to keep current connections alive for the full life cycle of the pod, but not accept new ones when it stops being healthy.
Right now it's random. To facilitate hit-less failover it should be the same on all ingress nodes.
This is quite implied by the design, but should be made clearer.
- Implement pod configuration (pending next CoreOS alpha for MPLS support, https://github.com/coreos/bugs/issues/1730) - Implement multi-hop MPLS addressing scheme to transit the MPLS packet from ingress to node hosting the pod.
Right now kube-service-tunnel creates one interface per service per pod. if I'm not mistaken that will not work for multiple interfaces as the local IP on the GRE interface would...
Calico supports route injection via custom filters. Should be easy enough to implement and make it easy to tie in kube-service-tunnel in the normal topology.
After a big break and mentally going over things that need to be debugged and issues I'm having, mostly related to PCIe, I have decided to put this project to...
Apparently the System Console allows for making dashboards and widgets. That would be really cool to give a board overview like ID, PCIe stats, and SFP data. See https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/ug/ug_system_console.pdf page...
Alex has also moved to cocotb recently so we should move to his library instead of our own pcie.py when time permits: https://github.com/alexforencich/cocotbext-pcie
