@acmorrow - for what it's worth, I ended up downgrading to `2.34.0` since I didn't need any of the new features in `2.35.0`, and that appears to be working fine...
On second look, this might actually be something that needs addressed in `tensorflow` (or in my case, `tensorflow-cpu-aws`.
