Comparing this port to the online version at hammurabigame.com (itself ported from Ahl's BASIC version), the population seems to skyrocket way too fast here, and the rats seem a bit too voracious.

Hi @DNied, you're probably right! I put this together forever ago and don't recall doing much play-testing. I'd be interested in patches to correct the issue, for sure.
