Can we have "total" consistently appear at the top level?

In the nested example, there is still an array of errors, so including the total attribute at the top would seem to make sense.

Considering I'm updating our implementation of this draft spec in https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-hateoas, I'm in favor of having a more consistent format.
