Repetition based workouts

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. No

Describe the solution you'd like Addition to time based exercise, it would be good if an exercise with repetitions can be added. Ex: 10 Leg raises

Additional context None

I just came to create request this feature. Repetition based exercises are more common. Maybe we could also add lest ones too for those who do wight lifting.

An exercises can be done for time, weight, repetions or any combination of those three. For example, some exercises indicate "do most reps in 90 seconds with 5 kg lest" while some others "hold this 10 lg ketttle for 30 seconds".

Just wondering how is this different from copypasting and editing the same exercise?

@zcattacz Currently, excercises are based on time e.g. 30 seconds of push ups. This feature would allow users to create execises like 10 push ups. So amount vs. time.

@blockbasti that's the part I am curious, how does the app know its 10 action ? computer vision , voice command, tts command at pace instead of ticks by second ?

@zcattacz when you create a workout, you set 10 reps. then during the workout, the app tells you "do 10 reps". you count yourself and when you're done, you press a button in the app, saying you're done. next exercise starts.

That is the way most apps do it. Anything else would probably overkill or have bad UX.

I'm usually not a fan of interacting with my phone during a workout, that's why the app currently only has timed exercises. But i get the need for counted exercises, thats why i'm currently expanding the app.

In that case, why not just put in the text "Give 10 push ups in 30sec". Actually I was thinking you would want something like a per exercise interval setting that the app could tick to or the TTS could count with, to help pacing out the exercises.

I found the current per second ticks turn to be very annoying during the last few exercise when I run out of strength.

But if there is a button, please make it big. Current start (>) still feels very tiny. The prev/next can be slide gesture. maybe they all could be sliding gesture. Simple operation without the need of staring at the screen would be really nice.
