Unable to properly assess shell execution

Open ecki opened this issue 1 month ago • 3 comments

I asked goose to find duplicate doc, and it uses some shell (why?) and powershell commands, but when asking me for their approval I cant actually read the wide command.

Expected behavior An easy to see multi line code block showing me the whole command, no tooltip, cutoff or horizontl scroll.

Please provide following information:

  • OS & Arch: Windows 11, x64
  • Interface: UI
  • Version: 1.12.1
  • Extensions enabled: tutorial
  • Provider & Model: Tetrate claude-haiku-4-5

Additional context It should know what OS it is or guess it from the path syntax. it also should make the life of people approving it easier (for example "allow all directory search actions" - after all I already allowed "analyse".

Need to correct myself its 3 clicks deep but it IS there. Feel free to close if you think you dont need to improve that.

so for clarification, goose does not ask you for permission for the particular command, it asks for the tool. I agree we could still do a better job saying what or why it is trying to do that

Hmm.. rereading it, I think “call above tool” is actually clear that it’s all commands, I just thought the policy would allow more sophisticated choices.
