Copy/Paste Not Working on macOS 15.5
Unable to Paste Any Content into Goose Chat Input on macOS
Environment
- Operating System: macOS 15.5
- Goose Version: 1.04.24
Description
Unable to paste any content into Goose's chat input field. The issue affects all content types and paste methods.
Reproduction Steps
- Open Goose
- Copy any content (text, code, URL) from any source
- Try to paste into Goose chat input using:
- Keyboard shortcut (Cmd+V)
- Right-click context menu
- Edit menu paste option
- Observe that pasting fails with all methods
Current Behavior
- No content can be pasted into the chat input
- No error messages are displayed
- No response to paste attempts
Expected Behavior
- Should be able to paste content using standard macOS paste methods
- Should work like other text input fields in macOS applications
Permissions Verified
The following macOS permissions have been enabled for Goose:
- ✓ Accessibility
- ✓ Full Disk Access
- ✓ Input Monitoring
Troubleshooting Steps Attempted
- Enabled all relevant macOS permissions
- Reset clipboard server (
killall pboard) - Restarted Goose application
- Restarted computer
- Tested different types of content (plain text, rich text, code, URLs)
- Verified copy/paste works in other applications
Impact
This significantly impacts usability, especially when:
- Sharing code snippets
- Providing long-form responses
- Sharing URLs or technical information
Additional Notes
- Copy/paste functionality works normally in all other applications
- The issue persists across application restarts
- No error messages or notifications are shown when paste is attempted
I'm not able to reproduce this in the desktop app. @mbloomsq can you confirm is this happening on other machines?

can you try to upgrade the version? The latest one is 1.0.27
I checked and now I have 1.0.24, but Goose isn't showing up in MSC to update
@yingjiehe-xyz I'm now update to 1.0.27 and still unable to copy/paste into goose
we've updated to a new UI, can you test again? also, can you hit option-cmd-I and see if there's anything in the developer console?
