Github Copilot model needs a new prompt for every step on claude models

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior: Use github as provider and use one of the supported claude models (claude-3.5-sonnet for instance) ask whatever and the agent will proceed with the request but ending the request immediately after the first step, requiring an additional prompt to continue

Expected behavior the agent should more or less continue unbothered until the request is satisfied or when asking for new info Screenshots

  • OS & Arch: Apple silicon (both m1 and m3 pro)
  • Interface: CLI
  • Extensions enabled: Developer tools
  • Provider & Model: all claude models
