Question: MPC-HC install with mad-vr
Hello, this is a bit of a noob question but does those shaders work with mpc-hc? From what i understand of the install process in mpc-be one only has to add the shaders and add them to the post-resize. However after doing this in mpc-hc i don't see any difference :D Wondering if there is something special to do or if they simply do not work out of the box with this player. Any help would be appreciated, have a good day guys.
@tirrorex i use it with mpc-hc normally here, and every thing look like ok, just make sure to use pixel shader 3 in mpc-hc
@ABDOELSHEMY mpc-hc and mad-vr? Any chance that you could help me out on the install? I might be missing something i thought the idea was to get the 4k sized window when launching an anime episode ? Not sure how to confirm if the shader is working or not. Also what is the use of pixel shader 3 and where do you get it? (didn't find it with google search lol). I fail to understand when the engine decides to use the shaders or not, because one wouldn't want those shaders to activate with movies and tvshows right ?
Anyway :)
right click in mpc-hc... shaders...debug shaders... then chose ps3 and close the menu and yes mpc-hc with madvr here and this shader will not actually upscall to 4k or even to 1080p res, for my tests it some kind of post procces to enhance the anime, but for my eyes, ngu, or superxbr+ super res still give much better result for me.
I see, well all goo then thanks mate. I still worry that the shader might change something for other content. I assume that either there is some kind of trigger that activates the shader or they are running all the time. Would be nice to know either way :D
I will check the other shaders you talked about.
@tirrorex for mpc-hc enable full floating point option in the presentation settings. MadVR is not required if you enable the full floating point option.
