Error on OpenBSD 7.6-current
Great to know ereandel has OpenBSD users!
Please share with me some of your configs:

The shell is ksh. The terminal is DWM ST (st-256color). I'm running these via Xenodm in a DWM suckless environment. OpenBSD 7.6-Current.

I tried ksh on st on dwm on archlinux, and could not get your error. Are you using ereandel's latest code? Can you check if using ereandel version from main also fails?
If it fails, please share what versions of the aforementioned programs are you using?
This was tried on the github clone and on the latest release ereandel-0.26.1. Same error.
Hi, I was using the wrong shell, but I still can't get your result. I changed some suspect code. Can you please try with this latest commit?

Okay it now runs, but I can't go to anything. When I run it with example ./ereandel gemini://gemini.circumlunar.space I get the following:
Only gemini links are supported. Type a key to continue.

when I run it just as ./erennadel I get:
Page not found! Type a key to return to previous page.
Ereandel needs dd, od, tr, head, wc and sed, and maybe others.
Can you check if you have these tools installed?
Also please run debug=2 ereandel and debug=2 ereandel gemini://gemini.circumlunar.space and post the output.
