The Backend is very slow isn't able to edit all products in the back-end.

After installing this extension we are facing the problem that back end is very slow not able to edit all the product in back end.To confirm it we go ahead and disable this extension, backed work faster after deactivating this extension. Can you please help me in troubleshooting what exactly the cause behind this.

also grid uses the eav (and not flat catalog) I think

we have also seen the same: but there is no solution to it I think

1 solution is to reducec the number of items in grid (we default to 20) and add some filters to reduce the results set
