Customer grid - Search functionality without results

Steps to reproduce the problem:

• go to Customer > Manage Customers and click on a client
• When you are on the Customer Information page, click Manage Shopping Cart
• Go to the product section and type the name of a product
• Click search
• expected result is: the product listing to be relevant to the words I wrote on the search tab
• the actual result is: the product listing doesn't change

Not working on Magento ver. 1.9.0.1 (community) and Magento ver. 1.14.1.0 (enterprise) with Module version 0.9.0.1
