Describe the bug

When pinching the onscreen keyboard blink does not free up all the space of the onscreen keyboard.

Here are 2 pictures showing the problem:

I have 2 more findings. I just downloaded the latest app store version, and it has the same issue. However, if I kill blink and reopen it while the keyboard is in floating mode, it behaves normally, using the whole screen with the keyboard floating over the text.

The issue only appears when you go from the docked on-screen keyboard to the floating one.

Here is a screen recording showing more: https://webby.webhotel.au:8443/Keyboard-video.mov

Thanks a lot for the report.

Long story short, Blink is not compatible with the Floating on-screen keyboard.

The long story, if I recall, is this is a known issue that we discovered a few iOS versions ago (since Stage Manger). We reported we were having problems with the Smart Keys bar with the Software Keyboard not showing properly. We chose to have full and reliable smart keys keyboard bar that would take the full width of the screen as we wanted it, but we had to sacrifice the split keyboard and the option for "display smart keys" when software keyboard is connected. The problem is with events there was an issue with how iOS is giving us the "region" where we can draw the bar.

I won't close it, so we can go back at it as we work in the new terminal, but I can't promise we will be able to do better in the future.
