Shift key active one keystroke too long

In iOS, if I hold down the shift key to type ABCdef releasing the shift key after typing the C, the d is lower case. If I do the same thing in Blink, the d is upper case: ABCDef. This is particularly maddening in a password, as you cannot see the typo; the only indicator of a problem is the stuck shift key.

Can you make Blink behave the same way as the standard iOS keyboard?
