Bug: Smart Keys "Show with external keyboard" setting not working

I have the smart keys "Show with external keyboard" setting OFF. However, the smart keys bar is always showing, even when I have a bluetooth keyboard connected.

I am using blink shell v13.5.7.244 on an iphone 8.

iPhone SE2 w/ external keyboard

Smart keys bar does not hide even when "Showing with external keyboard" is off.

iPad w/ external keyboard

It works well with iPad as I expected.
