Problem with .net

I try to open the program but it asks me to install .Net and nothing happens, I have 4.8.1 installed

First off, apologies for the late response.

When it asks you to install .Net, did you click yes? And if so did it open a page to download .NET 5.0 Desktop Runtime? You have to download and install that version. .Net 4.8 is part of the old .Net Framework (don't even get me started on the .NET naming over the years).

Now .Net 5.0 is still pretty old (and I should probably update the version required), but it's what the current version of the app uses.

I'm going to close this as I haven't got any more information, but I will start a new issue and work on smoothing out the packaging of the Windows App SDK / .NET Runtime to hopefully prevent issues like this.
