Some GTK themes do not support dark mode
Dark Mode doesn't appear on ubuntu 18.04. (the ChecKBox is selected).

You mean you can toggle it, but toggling has no effect on how it the theme looks?
Yes. I select the dark mode CheckBox but it remains Light

same here. kubuntu 19.10 64 bit, check the dark mode box but bb stays on the light theme.

Linux distributions come with different themes, and some themes don't support dark mode. The user can switch his desktop to a theme that does. BleachBit could be more user-friendly by giving the user a friendly message to explain this.
