Feature Request: a "Delete temp files" option

Open edale2 opened this issue 6 years ago • 2 comments

I've had a number of small errors so far, with only a few hours of playing around with PKGj, that all seem to stem from corrupted downloads of some form or another. All of them required deleting the temp files from ux0:pkgi/ to fix.

A way to delete the temporary files through the PKGj interface would make things easier to deal with.

a list of games titles in temp folder (or maybe a diferent bullet color?), with options like delete, continue download would be nice...

Just a simple "Clear temporary files" command would be greatly appreciated. It's really easy to accidentally start a download without having enough memory for it and effectively lock yourself out of any useful functionality of the console because you've run out of internal memory and VitaShell won't start anymore, failing with a "not enough free space on the memory card".

Embarassing story

I started using a hacked Vita that I bought just an hour ago, removed the SD card to check its contents using my PC, started a 1.15GB download in PKGj without realiziing that ux0 is mounted to internal, SD card isn't mounted at all, and all I have is ~800MB of internal memory. It obviously failed after filling the entire internal volume, and now my only option is removing one of the essential apps to free up memory because VitaShell won't start until I do that.
