Size of frigate proxy addon is too big
This might not be an issue but more an improvement, but from the moment I installed this addon the backup of my HA has almost doubled in size (from 80Mb to 150Mb), and when checking the size of the different components I realised the size of this addon is over 170Mb (70Mb after compression, which is similar to the size of my HA plus all the others addons) which seems wrong
the docker image is not included in the backup so there's nothing we can do to change the size of what is backed up as it is just your data
I extracted the backup and looked at the data and it doesn´t look like there are any recordings there:
which version of the addon are you running?
1.3 (it should be the latest as HA doesn´t show any update available)
1.3 is not a version of the frigate addon. It would be 0.11 or 0.12 most likely. if you are on an old version it may be 3.1 before the version sheme was redone for the addons
Sorry, the issue is with the Frigate proxy addon (I have just updated the title):
Oh, in that case seems to be expected since the proxy will be backed up with the image included in the backup.
I thought there was some issue with the size of this addon as none of the others addons exceed 1Mb (with most of them under 100Kb)
Depends on the addon and how it's arched / configured. I'm sure it could be improved somewhat, doubt it'll get close to 1mb though. At the same time there's no reason to include the frigate proxy addon in backups at all since it doesn't have anything to save, you would just redownload it.
