"link(file.link, field)" will not render markdown

What happened?

I m not sure if this is considered a defect. When using link(file.link, field) the contents of "field" is not rendered as markdown.

For example **test** will simply rendered as plain-text instead of bold. Markdown rendering works fine for "normal" fields.
