Hi 😄
This is OT and probably a silly question for those in the know, but how were you able to assign an issue label (question
) to an issue not belonging in one of your own repositories?
According to SO: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/13829466/how-to-put-a-label-on-an-issue-in-github-if-you-are-not-a-contributor-owner mere issue reporters aren't able to... Or is this simply possible in this repo via Issue Templates? (I haven't created, yet, an original issue in this repo, only commented on existing ones...) 😉

I just tested it. It automatically added it when I submitted the question.

Thanks for making this clearer to me... 👍 Best greetings 😄
Maybe the owner died. 🤔
A reminder, assign a backup everyone.

Edit: Github's deceased policy. (IOW, nothing)

Solution:
Someone or some group fork it and support it going forward.
I tried researching a few weeks ago and could not find any activity under the author's name on Twitter or anywhere else (it's a unique name).

@eduncan911 Well, this is a start: https://github.com/pukkandan/yt-dlc

This is the last activity I could find (from today)...
I thought youtube-dlc was considering a version that implemented fixes faster than youtube-dl. So call it the cutting edge version vs the stable version. If it's not being updated anymore doesn't that make youtube-dl the cutting edge version now?
I wonder if something happened to @blackjack4494 ?? A quick search shows he hasnt posted on Reddit, Github, StackOverflow, or anywhere else since November.
